What is JOYdropper exactly?

JOYdropper aims to give you a comprehensive look at what's happening with music, art, and writing -- the people who make it, and the places it happens -- all in New Jersey.

So what's this mailing list then?

Pssh. We send you e-mails, stupid. Each week you'll get a collection of all the stuff that's happening next week. Everything's strictly N.J., and mostly d.i.y.-type stuff, cuz fuck everyone else. If you think the C.I.A.'s trying to kill you, you could skip the e-mail bit and find everything we cover over... here.

How do you decide what gets included?

We follow a general rule of thumb when considering what to include: "Would we, or any of our friends, or friends' friends go to this?" Considering that covers a pretty broad spectrum of taste, we'd like to think that ensures we keep the cool shit, while wheedling out the primordially "lame."

How do I get my event on your mailing list?

E-mail us at events@joydropper.com. If we like the verve of your swagger, then we'll certainly put it in.

There's a ton of ways that you can get involved with us. We're more than just a website...we're made of people, I say, people! Get in touch with us and you could help us write, edit, design, take pictures, cover events, or host events.
